Position Summary
One of our large federal government contracting clients has an upcoming need for a
Quality Control Manager for a 6 - 7 month project in Alexandria, Virginia. The Quality Control Manager (QCM) is responsible for the implementation, management, and execution of the USACE Construction Quality Control (CQC) Program for a highly sensitive SKIF renovation project. This individual ensures that all work meets contract requirements, construction specifications, USACE standards, and secure facility compliance criteria. The QCM will oversee all quality-related activities, coordinate with subcontractors and government representatives, and ensure documentation and workmanship meet the stringent requirements associated with SCIF/SKIF construction.

Quality Control Manager:
Army Corps of Engineers Quality Control Certification (Class and certificate).
- Required to have completed the Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractor’s course.
- If the CQC System Manager does not have a current certification, obtain the CQM for Contractors course certification
- This course is periodically offered by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command and the Army Corps of Engineers.
- The Construction Quality Management Training certificate expires after 5 years. If the CQC System Manager's certificate has expired, they must retake the refresher course to remain current.
- Past ACOE projects preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with RMS (Resident Management System) database tool used by the ACOE a plus, but not required.
- Five (5) years of construction industry experience in general construction (engineering, or quality control inspections, or field construction supervision).
- Engineering or architectural design, or trade degrees and/or experience is a plus.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow engineering and construction drawings, procedures, and specifications.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Must pass a background check for clearance to military facility locations (secure clearance not required, but preferred to have the ability to pass additional security if required).
- Must be a US citizen.
- Required to be in person on the job site for construction inspections and monitoring.
